Pet profile page not found

If you scanned a QR code on the back of a Hitail pet tag and it took you to this FAQ article, that means the QR code you scanned is not valid or not assigned to an active pet profile in our database. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  1. Try manually accessing the pet profile website address instead of using your smartphone camera. On the back of the pet tag, immediately below the QR code is a printed website address. It should look like "hitail.us/XXXXXX". Type the address directly into your web browser from the back of the tag (don't scan the QR code). Please note the format of the address should be "hitail.us/" (not .com or .co) followed by a 6 alphanumeric (letters and numbers) code.
  2. If they still brought you to this FAQ article, the Hitail tag is inactive. This can happen for a few reasons:
    1. The tag owner never activated it.
    2. The tag is not assigned to an active pet profile.
    3. The tag has been deactivated.
  3. If you have a lost pet and are unable to access the pet profile successfully, please contact us here and provide the 6 alphanumeric code from the back of the tag and we will assist you in located the pet's owner.
